Hermantown will face Chisago Lakes in a Section 7AAA baseball elimination bracket semifinal on Tuesday at 11 a.m. at Chisago Lakes High School Field. The winner will advance to face three-time defending 7AAA champion Grand Rapids in the elimination bracket final immediately afterward. 

The section championship game is scheduled for Wednesday afternoon. 

The Hawks (8-9) defeated Hibbing 2-1 in an elimination bracket quarterfinal Saturday at Wade Stadium in West Duluth, as junior righthander River Freeman limited the Bluejackets to only two hits. Jacob Evanson singled in Charlie Marchard with the winning run in the fourth inning. Cam Lukovsky had two hits for the winners.

Hermantown defeated Cloquet 6-3 in a 7AAA first-round game last Tuesday at Terry Egerdahl Field in Proctor.

The Hawks defeated Chisago Lakes 8-4 on May 17 at Mettner Field in Cloquet, but have not played Grand Rapids this season.
