Mayor Roger J. Reinert – “Gun violence of any kind is unacceptable in this community. Western Duluth is family-friendly, safe, and neighborly. This incident in no way reflects the values of Western Duluth, nor is typical of Western Duluth. Our law enforcement professionals will use all the means they have at their disposal to ensure our community is safe.”

Police Chief Mike Ceynowa – “Too often, firearms in the hands of criminals are involved in incidents that turn violent. This shooting is a perfect example of that. We want to ensure that members of the Duluth community stay safe in our neighborhoods and we will do all we can to ensure the wellbeing of all who live, work, and play here.”

City Attorney Jessica Fralich – “The Duluth City Attorney’s Office remains committed to public safety in the City of Duluth. We’re always working to enhance our public safety response, as the community’s safety is of utmost importance.”
