Former Bulldogs forward Ben Steeves will earn $455,000 minimum in a $1.9M two-year, two-way entry-level contract signed with the Florida Panthers on Monday, according to CapFriendly.com. The 5-foot-8, 165-pounder will receive a $95,000 signing bonus, $855,000 Panthers and $82,500 minors salary each of the next two years.

Defenseman Derek Forbort, 32, of Duluth is closing in on $14M in career earnings during a nine-year pro career, including the last three seasons with the Boston Bruins. He is making $3.5M this season in the final season of a three-year $9M deal with the B's signed on July 21, 2021. He will be an unrestricted free agent after this season.
