Sports Notebook: Vikings make 1st wave of roster cuts for 2024

The Vikings today announced the first wave of roster reductions before the 2024 season.

All NFL teams must reduce their rosters to 53 players by 3 p.m. (CT) Tuesday, Aug. 27.

Minnesota waived the following players:

QB Matt Corral

RB DeWayne McBride

TE Sammis Reyes

RB Mo Ibrahim

CB Jaylin Williams

TE Neal Johnson

WR Justin Hall

OLB Owen Porter

OL Chuck Filiaga

OL Doug Nester

OL Matt Cindric

OL Spencer Rolland

DL Tyler Manoa

Minnesota also terminated the contract of the following player:

CB A.J. Green III
