City of Duluth.

At the City of Duluth Facebook page today:

"Northland Vietnam Veterans mark today, April 30, 2025, the 50th anniversary of the fall of Saigon and the end of the Vietnam War. The City of Duluth honors its Vietnam veterans, as well as the refugees who fled the country to Duluth during the conflict, on this day. Residents and visitors can pay tribute to Northland Vietnam Veterans at the Northland Vietnam Veterans Memorial, which is located on the Lakewalk and was designed by Duluth resident and Vietnam veteran Dwight Nelson and erected by the NVVA over 30 years ago. The memorial contains the names of 136 fallen soldiers from the Northland and provides people a place to honor and remember those who fought in the conflict, ensuring the fallen are not forgotten to history. The City of Duluth wishes to extend its gratitude to those who fought and those who fell in the Vietnam war."
